Couple of things...

I figured out another one of my pet peeves - men in dress pants, shirt tucked in with no belt. Add to that the 4 little pieces of white thread still on the waist of the pants because the man cut off the tag but didn't cut out the thread that held said tag on said pants. I saw this in downtown Atlanta. In 2007. Isn't it a carnal sin for a man to wear dress pants with no belt? Yes, people, the answer is yes. For that matter, no one should wear their shirts tucked in with no belt except for the tall, skinny women in the Banana Republic ads. The belt would have even prevented me from seeing the white thread; the trauma could have been avoided with little effort on his part. If you get the outfit as wrong as this guy did, it totally defeats the purpose of "dressing up". I hope all of the men in this world find their way to my blog so that the lesson can be learned!

On another subject, I finished the baby shrug I mentioned in my last post. It's for my girlfriend Sarah and her daughter Baker. Well, I hope Baker will be the one wearing it, but I imagine Sarah will be the one enjoying it. It was fairly easy to make although it got a bit monotonous... I really do like the end result. I can't wait to see a picture of Baker wearing it; thankfully they live in Kentucky and should have some cooler weather still (unlike the 75° - 80° weather we're having in Atlanta). I shipped it this morning, and I can't wait to see pics of Baker wearing this thing - I will post them!

More (and more and more)

I'm back with another finished project! You'd think I have no life, and you might be right... but I'm really enjoying this hobby as I continue to make a lot of cool stuff. So, this is a baby raglan cardigan, size 12-18 months. I didn't make it for anyone in particular, so I guess it's the first item in my gift stash. It's so cute, though; I have to find a kid somewhere who can wear it (with parents who will appreciate it)!

I'm already halfway done with another project - a baby shrug. What baby needs a shrug? Well, my friends' babies apparently. This one is for someone in particular (shhh!), and I can't wait to see the finished product. Too cute!
