Sunglasses After Midnight
I belong to MySpace and inevitably read a lot of those personal survey things that my friends fill out. One question that seems to come up all of the time is, "What is your pet peeve?" I never really know how to answer that question because I have several... but I don't remember them until one of them peeves me. One of them peeved me today.
I have never understood why it's cool to wear sunglasses at night. Or inside. Who's responsible for this? Poker players? I think I might've done it a time or two in 1999, but in 2006? Never. I saw a picture of Usher on perezhilton.com, and he was wearing sunglasses at the Michael Kors fashion show. (MK makes some pimpin' clothes, so I wouldn't want to have anything covering my eyes at his fashion show.) I guess Usher, Kanye, Jay-Z, and such wear them for fashion, and sometimes it works... but they are never necessary. I think Scott Storch needs to keep wearing his because I don't want to look at any more of his face than what he currently shows. I think anyone else who doesn't wear them for fashion purposes just looks creepy. Some random guy in a bar in Atlanta, wearing a polo shirt and khakis that he probably bought 6 years ago, should not wear sunglasses after midnight. That screams, "I'm looking at you, but I don't want you to know!" Weird.
